The Sultan’s School continues to ‘Go Green’ even during lockdown.
The Sultan’s School has earned a well-deserved reputation for its continued efforts towards environmental education. In addition to working with local agencies and business, the school regularly participates in action based initiatives such as beach clean-ups.
However, with the school and much of the country in lockdown because of COVID19, many of the planned activities have been postponed. Nevertheless, this did not stop many of the staff, who live on campus, from participating in a clean-up recently.
The Sultan’s School campus is one of the largest in the world and is still being developed. At present a large area, almost 500,000 square metres, is not used for educational purposes and is used by the staff for walking, running and cycling. However, given that it is such a large area it occasionally suffers from refuse that is blown in by the winds.
