The Sultan’s School is so proud in recognizing the achievements of our IGCSE students, Isa Al Suleimani and his team mate, Ali Al Busaidi, who were nominated to represent Oman in this year’s men’s Davis Cup. They are the youngest members of the whole cohort of 12 teams who are playing in the Asia/Oceania Group IV of Davis Cup this month in Bahrain.
We were also incredibly proud of their first win against Mongolia. This is despite being much younger players, with no such international experience as well as a lack of match practice due to the year long Covid restrictions. Their resilience to play in the daytime heat, against stronger and older players and their own mental strength is commendable.
We wish both of them all the best for the future.
