Our Year 13 students welcomed Ms Nada Al Balushi from Muscat Veterinary Clinic for an engaging awareness session on animal welfare and responsible care. Students learnt about their responsibilities towards animals, the importance of treating them with care and compassion, and the role of veterinary professionals in supporting their health and wellbeing.
The session provided students with valuable insights and encouraged greater awareness of the importance of animal welfare. Students also explored the importance of providing animals with a safe and suitable environment, meeting their health and nutritional needs, and seeking appropriate veterinary care when required.
The session helped strengthen students’ understanding of the responsibility individuals and communities have towards animals, while encouraging them to adopt positive and responsible practices in caring for them. It also provided an opportunity for students to ask questions and benefit from the knowledge and experience shared by the guest speaker on animal health and care.
Experiences such as this form an important part of the School’s commitment to providing meaningful learning opportunities that connect classroom learning with real-life experiences. The session also supported the development of compassion, empathy and responsibility among students, while promoting greater respect for all living beings and their wellbeing.
