The Sultan’s School held an information session for parents of Year 12 and Year 13 students enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme on Monday, 28th September. The session reflected the School’s commitment to strengthening communication and collaboration with parents while providing them with valuable insights into the academic journey and future opportunities available to their children.

The session offered parents an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the IB Diploma Programme, its significance in students’ educational development, and its role in fostering critical thinking, independent learning, research skills, and personal responsibility. It also highlighted how the programme prepares students for a successful transition into higher education and their future career pathways.

Particular attention was given to the programme’s graduation requirements, the different university admission pathways, and the wide range of opportunities available to students at leading universities locally and internationally. The discussion also emphasized the importance of early university planning and exploring academic disciplines that align with students’ interests, abilities, and aspirations.

During the session, the outstanding academic achievements of the Class of 2026 were proudly celebrated. One student achieved an exceptional score of 44 out of 45 points, while five additional students attained scores ranging from 40 to 43 points, reflecting the dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence of the School’s graduates.

Furthermore, the Class of 2026 achieved a remarkable 100% university admission rate to prestigious international universities. In addition, 94% of the 56 applicants secured internal and external scholarships after completing their applications through the Higher Education Admission Centre’s electronic portal.

These impressive achievements highlight The Sultan’s School’s continued commitment to academic excellence, providing a supportive learning environment, and empowering students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to pursue successful university studies and future careers.
