Our Year 12 students began their journey into Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) with a memorable two-day residential experience in Jebel Akhdar. The programme brought together challenge, collaboration, friendship and service, providing an inspiring introduction to their two-year journey through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Through a variety of team-building activities, high ropes and other challenges, students were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, develop greater self-awareness and build confidence in their own abilities. The experience also helped students strengthen their resilience, teamwork and communication skills while learning to support and encourage one another.
The activities provided valuable opportunities for students to develop their ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, take responsibility and respond positively to challenges. Beyond the classroom, the experience encouraged students to discover new strengths, develop important life skills and build lasting friendships with their peers.
As part of their Service experience, students also took part in planting trees, contributing to environmental sustainability and making a positive impact on the local environment. This initiative highlighted the importance of community participation, environmental responsibility and taking meaningful action to support the world around us.
The residential experience also strengthened relationships among students, creating opportunities for collaboration, shared experiences and memorable moments. By learning together in a different environment, students developed a stronger sense of teamwork, belonging and responsibility.
